It looks like I've finally assembled a collection of neckaces that may be of interest to the local boutiques (at least, I hope so!) This will be the last of 8 necklaces that I'll be trying to sell next week. We'll see how it goes!
Made this one today & wore it out during my "need to get out with the kids so I don't go crazy" time at the mall today. Kind of loving this one right now.
This past weekend I ventured into the fashion district of downtown LA to check out the bead shops. I found a store called "Bohemian Crystal" (cool name) that was heaven for anyone who likes to make jewelry. I picked up these beautiful chunky rough-cut quartz beads & made this necklace right when I got home. This would be the kind of necklace I would have worn for my barefoot beach wedding that never happened because Jeff wanted to do the church thing. Maybe I'll wear it when I renew my vows some day. :)
Accidentally erased my previous post on this one, but that's okay because the necklace changed since then too.
Jeff & I stayed at the Standard in West Hollywood last night & had a great time with friends & food sans bebe! Loved wearing this necklace because of the black coral which has that edgy/beachy vibe that I love. I think this is kind of becoming my signature necklace style.
This one received a compliment within minutes of the first time I wore it out. It would probably look better on darker skin, but girls in their 30's gotta embrace their whiteness (or the self tanner).
I love this one because it's kind of a mix of the beach and the city; my two favorite places! My 15 year old daughter, Chloe, who wore this to school last week and received SEVEN compliments. Nice!!
A girl who worked at Donna Karan right after I left in 2003, started making necklaces and is now the owner of Fenton-Fallon. I love her designs because she brilliantly mixes elegance with a punk edge. This necklace, I think, is very reminiscent of her work because of the pearl/spike combo. I love it!!!
My daughter, Chloe, and I decided to make a necklace for her best friend, Jenicka, who is turning 16. Chloe, who has great taste just like her mother ;), chose all of the elements and I put it together & VOILA!! Another beautiful necklace is born!
